Girl Guides of Canada - National Registration Week Starts September 12, 2009

Girl Guides of Canada - Guides du Canada is THE leadership oranization for girls and women in Canada, with 100,000 members from coast to coast. Guiding is bold, fun, energetic, and it empowers girls and women to face challenges of confidence everyday.

Girls and women are invited to join the following groups:

  • Sparks - SK and grade 1
  • Brownies - grades 2 and 3
  • Guides - grades 4, 5, and 6
  • Pathfinders - grades 7, 8, and 9
  • Trex - grades 7 to 12
  • Rangers - grades 10 to 12
  • Adults - as leaders, mentors, team members, and more!

Each of these groups offers what is best about Guiding today - dynamic programs, choice, and leadership opportunities.

What we offer

For girls, Guiding is an accepting environment with diverse and exciting programs and activities that offer opportunities to discover new interest, learn valuable leadership skills, and make lasting friendships. Guiding gives girls the tools and resources they need to achieve greatnesss.

For women, Guiding is a change to make a difference in the lives of girls and young women. It's a place for personal growth, mentoring, and travel.

Vision

Girl Guides of Canada, the organization of choice for girls and women, makes a positive difference in the life of every girl and woman who experiences Guiding, so that she can contribute responsibly to her community.

Mission

Girl guides of Canada enables girls to be confident, resources, and courageous, and to make a difference in the world.

Interested in becoming a member of the Association? Look in the About Us section for details.

Get active in your community! This site provides information on many of the volunteer organizations and community groups in and around "The Heights" which you can join. We encourage all residents to give of their time for the many worthy causes. Contact the Community Centre for more information. The more you do, the better the community!


Support your QHCA!
How?
When a canvasser knocks at your door, join the association or renew your existing membership. Or you can call the association at 824-7458 or send us an e-mail note. Attend the monthly meeting. Ask questions, make suggestions, GET INVOLVED!
Why?
Because the QHCA is your voice on community issues. We support Q.H. local groups and raise issues through our elected municipal representative (Bob Monette) brought forward by the executive or association members.
How much?
An annual subscription costs you just $10.00! With that you get the chance to add your 2 cents to any issue, and you also receive our quarterly publication of local news "The NewsLiner" (4 issues a year - delivered to your door).
