The community of Queenswood Heights is located in the east end of the City of Ottawa, in the area known as Orléans. It has a population of 14,000 with 4000 homes. It has 4 elementary schools, 1 High school, a public library and a pool/arena complex, adjacent to its borders. Queenswood Heights is bordered by St. Joseph Blvd on the north, Tenth Line on the east, Innes on the south, Gloucester border on the west.

Queenswood United ChurchQueenswood Heights is well situated for shopping and entertainment. On our north border we find the Cumberland Town Centre which contains the Town Hall and Theatre, the YMCA/YWCA, 4 restaurants, a Movie Theatre and small shops. Nearby facilities include a Medical emergency clinic, the Royal Canadian Legion and a 32 lane Bowling alley and Place d'Orleans a major Regional indoor shopping centre with over 150 stores. On our east border we have Fallingbrook shopping Centre on Tenth Line anchored by a Grocery store.

Queenswood Heights was first developed in 1961 and has a long history of active volunteers in the community. The QHCA has produced many of our local politicians, such as former Regional Chair, Peter Clark, who served as our Chairman before running for mayor of Cumberland and then Regional Chair. The QHCA represents the interests of the residents, through regular meetings, monitoring the local political scene and liaison with our local elected representatives.

We welcome involvement from our residents, please contact the President if you are interested in serving your community.
